How to apply online for an Azad Kashmir driving licence
First, every new driver in AJK needs a learner permit. Based on the portal's How to Apply page, the online flow looks like this:

- Register with one email address and keep using it for every later application.
- Use a password you do not use on other sites.
- Log in only at dlims.ajkpolice.gok.pk/login, never through a link in a message.
- Answer the sum carefully; a wrong answer simply reloads the form.

Paying the DLIMS AJK fee through PSID and ePay
The portal publishes one fee: the online application charge. According to the How to Apply page, you pay Rs400 for each application, such as bike or car. On top of that, a Rs50 operations and settlement charge applies to each application.

In practice, the PSID shows the exact total before you pay. So always compare that figure with the table above, especially if you picked more than one category.
However, fees for the regular licence card, renewal and duplicates are not listed on the DLIMS portal. The Traffic Police AJK website has shown an older fee image, which may be out of date. Therefore, confirm the current amount at your licensing centre before you travel.
How to do an AJK licence check online

The portal's e-licence page has three tabs: E-License, Regular License and International License. Depending on the tab, the form asks for your CNIC, passport number or date of birth. After that, you answer a short sum and press Generate E-License.
That said, treat the e-licence as a convenient digital copy. Keep your physical card with you when you drive. The portal does not state the digital copy's legal status at checkpoints. Punjab drivers can compare this with the Punjab e-licence process, which works in a similar way.

First, log in to your DLIMS AJK account and look for the renewal or duplicate option. If it is not available for your licence, contact the district centre that issued it. Renewal fees and late charges are not published on the portal, so ask before you pay.
Overseas AJK residents in the UK and the Gulf
Many families from Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimber live abroad, especially in the United Kingdom. For them, online renewal is the biggest change, since it removes an expensive trip home for a routine task.
Still, plan for a few practical points:
- Since you pay through a PSID, you need Pakistani online banking or a relative in Pakistan who can pay.
- The form asks for CNIC scans. If you hold a NICOP instead, confirm with the district centre before paying.

Most issues come down to typing, timing or payment. Here are quick fixes:
- Form reloads after submit. The page uses a security token and a maths question. Refresh the page, then re-enter the details and the new sum.
- "No record" on verification. Recheck the CNIC and licence number. Then try the Traffic Police AJK verification page for older licences.
- PSID paid but status unchanged. Give it some time, then contact your district centre with the receipt.
- Upload rejected. Reduce the file size or try another image format, and make sure all four CNIC corners show.

- Page error. Parts of the portal occasionally return an error. Wait and try again later rather than using a copycat site.
